Always professional and dedicated to her work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an entire generation of viewers, Knowings will forever be remembered as one of the talented young stars who helped make <em>All That<\/em> a Nickelodeon favorite.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Bronx native, Knowings joined the sketch-comedy series in 1997 and appeared in more than 30 episodes. <em>All That<\/em> was one of her favorite shows growing up, and her twin brother encouraged her to audition, telling her she would be a perfect fit for the cast. We would bring cultural nuances and it was celebrated. With \u2018Inconvenience Store,\u2019 there was a cultural aspect that people are more familiar with now, but back then they really weren\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her creativity extended far beyond comedy. Knowings was a singer and dancer, later appearing on <em>Sesame Street<\/em> alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings. She also had a writing credit on the 2009 film <em>Mother and Child<\/em> and released the folk song \u201cTo the World\u201d in 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking back on her <em>All That<\/em> years, Knowings once recalled one particular character with special affection: Gloria Bankhead, an over-the-top Martha Stewart-inspired personality she played during her final season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI just remember being on set and being her all-day long,\u201d Knowings recalled in 2019. \u201cEverybody loved it! The writers, the stage managers, everybody was just like, \u2018Hi Gloria!\u2019 Gloria Bankhead was my favorite character to play. She was on set like that all the time. It was fun to just be in character like that, even when the cameras weren\u2019t rolling.
