(WACH) \u2014\u00a0<\/span>Three people were arrested for the abuse of two infants under the age of one, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies were dispatched to a Columbia hospital on January 31 after medical staff reported signs of physical abuse on the infants.<\/p>\n<div class=\"MidArticleAdUnit_desktop__8V4OI\">\n<div id=\"interstory_first_ddb_0\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The parents, Amos R. Mobley Jr., 24, and Daija Benjamin, 23, were later joined as suspects by the infants\u2019 paternal grandmother, 62-year-old Anita Hingleton-Mobley, a former Richland One employee.<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p>Each person faces two counts of inflicting great bodily injury upon a child, according to the\u00a0Richland County Sheriff&#8217;s Department.<\/p>\n<p>During questioning, investigators found inconsistencies in the parents\u2019 statements, leading them to be suspects.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said warrants were issued on February 24 for all three individuals following the investigation.<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p>The suspects agreed to turn themselves in on March 3 at the Alvis S. Glenn Detention Center.<\/p>\n<p>The infants remained under medical supervision but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COLUMBIA, S.C.
