My husband brought home a stranger and asked me to let him stay just one night

I wish I had more time, Dad.

Michael opened his eyes.

Smile. Smile.

Don’t answer it.

There was no need.

After the funeral, Daniel brought home the old photo of his two brothers.

He put it next to the childhood photo that Michael had looked at on the first night.

Today they are both on the same wall.

And every time I look at them I remember the evening when my husband brought home an “unknown”.

A man we thought had come into our lives by chance.

But which, in fact, had been bound to her even before Daniel was born.
