The cameras that confirmed everything
On my lawyer’s advice, I installed security cameras in the common areas of the house. Three nights later, when he thought I was sleeping, the office camera recorded him opening the file cabinet, photographing documents and making a call. The audio was weak, but a phrase was clearly heard:
“Not yet. It has to look natural.
I heard it five times. “Let it look natural.” I didn’t need any more explanations.
I sent the recording to the lawyer and went to the police with the results of the lab and all the evidence I had kept. That same day I left the house without telling Ethan where he was going. I took refuge with a friend.
At night the calls started. First tender. Then irritated. In the end, there was no longer any trace of the calm man he had met in yoga classes.
