“The girls don’t mind.”
All three of my granddaughters stood.
Rose lifted her glass.
“We don’t mind, Mom,” she said softly. “But we have something to say.”
For a few seconds, I honestly thought I had misunderstood them.
But instead of giving the speech I expected, the girls did the one thing neither Lisa nor I saw coming.
